As a bedroom-based composer of digital music, I was active in the internet mod scene from 1995 to about 2004, had an international, short-lived but nonetheless fun tracking group called the "funky brains" consisting of d-fast, cryssalid, christofori, ceekayed (aka Crimson King), fermus, infey and me, and for some time I was also involved in administering the ModArchive IRC channel (#modarchive on DALnet, later EsperNet) and filtering new song submissions on modarchive.com.
I started with ScreamTracker 3.01 and continued with ImpulseTracker 2.14 to make my songs. I have to thank my friend Jonathan for introducing me to ST3, which was my ticket to the tracker scene that I enjoyed to be part of for so long.
Today I work fulltime as head of a small IT company in Munich and abandoned composing music completely. I bought an Ibanez bass instead and am a proud member of an in many ways exceptional choir.
Yeah well, that picture is pretty old.
